Lenny Abrahamson got a great big pat on the back for What Richard Did last year and now the film's been given another ringing endorsement, picking up no less than six IFTA nominations.
Jack Reynor and Roisin Murphy got a nod each for their leading roles while supporting actress Gabrielle Reidy also secured a nomination. Ian Fitzgibbon's Death of a Superhero also scored well, picking up three nominations including Best Film an acting nod for Michael McElhatton. Colin Farrell's in the running thanks to his starring role in Seven Psychopaths, another movie which nabbed three nods.
This year is a big one, marking the 10th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards. The ceremony takes places on February 9th and with 40 gongs to give away, there'll be plenty of excitement!
