Sadly, it's not for a solo Black Widow movie, which needs to happen already (although a script is in the works).

Avengers star Scarlett Johansson and New Zealand director Taika Waititi are set to work together on an upcoming World War II film called Jojo Rabbit, according to Variety.

It will follow the story of a young German boy who finds out that his mother (Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl in their home. Hard to imagine how New Zealand director Waitiki will fit his trademark humour into a World War II flick but if anyone can pull it off, it's him.

Waititi was offered many films following the success of Thor: Ragnorak but he has always made it clear that Jojo Rabbit would be his next movie, while he has also been busy with the TV pilot of his 2014 flick What We Do in the Shadows.

Waititi has also written the script for Jojo Rabbit and will produce alongside Carthew Neal and Chelsea Winstanley, while production is expected to start this spring.
