Simon Cowell turned his life around after collapse

Simon Cowell's collapse earlier this year forced him to bring ''harmony to his whole life''.

'The X Factor' boss' ex-girlfriend, former pop star Sinitta, revealed that the breakdown which was reported on Sunday (09.09.12) encouraged him to find a peaceful balance in his schedule.

She told The Sun newspaper: ''He did have a tough summer but he's turned it all around.''

Simon reached an extremely draining period earlier in the summer after his professional and personal life became too much.

Sinitta continued: ''It was a good wake-up call because it's made him try to bring harmony to his whole life, balancing the work and pleasure thing instead of being a complete workaholic.''

The music mogul apparently had to be put on a strict detox regime to give him the strength to battle his ''demons''.

He was limited to his bed for a week, and cut off from friends and colleagues.

Sinitta also showed some support for guest judge Geri Halliwell on the TV talent show.

She said: ''I love Geri. I think she's absolutely insane but now that we don't have Simon, we need someone to take the crazy role.''
