Jessie J party bottle victim dies
A man who was stabbed in the neck with a bottle at a Jessie J party has died.
Father-of-two Phillip Sherriff, 37, was attacked at a celebrity-packed bash hosted by smartphone company BlackBerry last Tuesday (03.04.12), and lost his fight for life yesterday morning (08.04.12).
Phillip was rushed from London's Pulse nightclub to the Royal London Hospital where he underwent surgery on his skull to remove pressure from an injury to his brain.
His wife Jane kept a bedside vigil and has now headed home to Preston in Lancashire to break the tragic news to their children.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: ''She is devastated.''
Jessie - who had performed at the event just before the attack - has offered her condolences to the family.
She tweeted: ''I am lost for words. All I can say is my thoughts, love and respects are with the family and children of the man who attended the blackberry gig last week who sadly lost his life this morning <3 So sad...''
Company director Ashley Charles, 25, has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder and is due to appear in court on April 20.
