Channing Tatum didn't enjoy stripping

Channing Tatum felt like a ''fool'' when he was stripper.

The handsome actor plays a stripper in his new movie 'Magic Mike' but he used to make a living out of taking his clothes off in real life and he admits there was nothing glamorous about it.

He told Out magazine: ''You're just a guy taking off his clothes, looking like a fool in a stupid outfit.

''I never enjoyed the taking-the-clothes-off part,'' he says. ''You are on a stage with people yelling at you and you feel like you're a rock star, but you're nothing.''

Channing - who is married to actress Jenna Dawson - says he is now enjoying his career as an actor and just wants to keep getting better and learning from others.

He said: ''I've been acting for eight years now, and I feel I'm just starting to understand things. I want to keep finding people I can learn from.''

Channing has never been secretive about his former life and has always maintained he doesn't regret his previous sexy job.

He previously said: ''I wanted to tell people. I'm not ashamed of it. I don't regret one thing. I'm not a person who hides s**t.''
