Ant McPartlin’s estranged wife Lisa Armstrong took to Twitter this weekend to express her heart ache at finding out that Ant is now in a relationship with his personal assistant.

The couple announced back in January that they were divorcing after eleven years of marriage.

Over the weekend, The Sun published pictures of McPartlin walking his dog along with his assistant Anne-Marie Corbett, with a source telling the newspaper: "Anne-Marie’s put him back together again. Everyone’s thrilled he’s found someone to love."

Armstrong revealed she had heard the news by posting two broken hearts and a heart emoji on Twitter:

The make-up artist revealed that McPartlin had not told her about the alleged new relationship but rather found out about it through the news reports.

A tweeter messaged her: "If it’s true I would have hoped out of respect to you that he didn’t let you find out from the media," to which Armstrong responded: "Nope. Just how you guys did."

Armstrong revealed that not only was Corbett her friend, but that she was her and Ant’s shared PA "who I let into OUR home."

Ant McPartlin was fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving back in April. The talk show host formerly presented with Declan Donnelly, who went solo for Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain’s Got Talent after Ant entered rehab.

The Sun reported that Corbett had "been at his side for this whole ordeal, often when everyone else has gone away. His lowest moment was when the drink-drive case judge said he had lost his good character, but Anne-Marie stayed supporting him.

“She has worked with him for a while as his PA and things have always been strictly professional. But recently something changed and they started becoming more than just friends. Both of them are single so they decided to try and see whether something could happen. "
