Director Ti West chats to Brian Lloyd about the latest movie in his 'X' movie series, 'MaXXXine'.
He talks about the references he used for the movie along with the often symbiotic relationship between horror and porn as "outsider genres", particularly in the seventies and eighties.
Ti also delves into the "trauma" of making a movie in terms of the time it takes and the mental load. "I mean it's a good problem to have but I've been working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for 5 years.
"There's not a moment when I'm either trying to do something that is next to impossible to achieve or trying to fix something that is collapsing around it. That is very time-consuming and I also have a baby so like, there's just a lot going on.
"It's certainly not digging ditches - there are much more difficult jobs in the world but it's not a walk in the park mentally".
