John Lennon had an impact on some of former One Direction singer Zayn Malik's album, he has claimed.
We'd love to say that the boyband star was starting to come out with the sort of outlandish statement a la Kanye West, but the reality is a little less exciting than that.
Speaking to NME, he talked about how The Beatles influenced album track 'Fool for You', specifically the song 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'.
"I was listening to a lot of John Lennon the week I got that loop," he said. "And there was this one song I got addicted to, with Indian music at the front of it, sitar, and then it becomes, like, another song."
Malik releases his debut solo album 'Mind of Mine' tomorrow.
