You'll remember how much we were looking forward to seeing Alexander Skarsgard wearing almost noth... We mean, swinging around the jungle with Jessica Chastain in a big screen adaptation of Tarzan. Anyway, seems like Warner Bros have said it won't be happening. Wah.

As per Deadline, production on the film has been shut down due to budgetary concerns, with producers reportedly unable to cut spending down to a level that would please the studio. We don't know about you, but we'd certainly pay good money to see the movie ourselves now...

Don't worry though, there's still talk of the producers trying to get the whole thing up and running next year, so we won't necessarily be missing out on all that loin cloth action. And to think, we could have had Samuel L Jackson playing an ex-mercenary to boot. Who'll save the Congo from a vengeful warlord now?

We'll keep our eyes and ears open for any good news on this one...
