Oh dear, Madge. You've been around long enough to know that the way to endear yourself to a group of irritated fans is not by calling them 'bitches'.
That's precisely what happened at her Manchester gig the other night, however, when she brought her Rebel Heart tour to the UK's shores.
Apparently she was over 50 minutes late on stage with no announcement made to explain the delay. When she eventually emerged, she said "My lateness tonight is due - and I don't like to be late, by the way - and all you bitches who keep complaining about it can shut the fuck up."
She added: "I'm not back there eating chocolates and filing my nails and getting extensions done," explaining that the reason for the delay was because the video imagery for the show crashed and needed to be rebooted.
