Some songs are beyond covers and we're of the opinion that Drunk In Love is one such song.
Beyonce and Ed Sheeran took to the stage at New York's Central Park for the Global Citizen Festival to perform a horribly ill-judged cover of her hit song. The concert, which occurs annually and promotes awareness of social issues, took place in front of 60,000 fans.
As well as Ed Sheeran ruining a perfectly decent song, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam turned up with his guitar and performed Bob Marley's Redemption Song with Beyonce whilst First Lady Michelle Obama rounded out the night with a rousing speech and thanked Beyonce for help, saying "I am honored to follow a woman whom I admire and adore, someone who believes as passionately as I do, the boundless promise of girls worldwide.”
The event, hosted by Stephen Colbert, was broadcast on MSNBC and also featured Vice President Joe Biden, Leonardo DiCaprio and Salma Hayek in guest appearances. Here's Eddie Vedder singing Redemption Song with Bey, which doubled as a tribute to the work of Nelson Mandela.
