When hundreds of Italian Foo Fighters fans played 'Learn to Fly' to entice Dave Grohl and co. to come and play their city last year, it worked a treat.
Whether that inspired this group of schoolkids in Ethiopia to do similar is another matter - but it seems that the rock star's music is ripe for group activities, anyway.
American Peace Corps volunteer Matt Westerberg taught the kids from Yechila Secondary School the lyrics to the song in order to improve their English - as well as to pay tribute to Grohl, who is 47 today.
NME quotes Westerberg as saying "I thought it would be funny to have the kids try and learn it. They laughed their way through it. The next day, they demanded to try it again.
"After a while we went through most of the song day by day as a motivational tool. At first it was all just a joke, but after awhile, the students began to really build confidence through learning the song."
