They've had a pretty contentious relationship over the last twenty years - mostly related to Nirvana and Kurt Cobain's legacy and estate - but Courtney Love says that she and her late husband's ex-bandmate Dave Grohl are 'really cool' these days.
Love made the comments on Late Night with David Letterman on Tuesday night, which she was appearing on in relation to a new documentary about Cobain, 'Montage of Heck'. The film premiered at Sundance last month and features previously unseen footage and home recordings of the rock icon, who died in 1994. Their daughter Frances Bean Cobain was an executive producer of the project.
We're friends again," she said of her relationship with Foo Fighters frontman Grohl. "We text, and we're cool. I think you just get to an age where, 'Why are we suing each other? Really?' It just got stupid. Honestly, me and Dave Grohl, we had some gnarly times over 20 years. And if we can make up, anyone can make up. We're really cool now."
