Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was recently sentenced to a period of house arrest after pleading guilty to threatening to kill a former employee, as well as possession of drugs.
Rudd was handed an eight month home detention sentence, but now it has emerged that he was arrested again over the weekend and is back in police custody.
Police did not comment on the reason for the 61-year-old's arrest, but it was alleged that he had breached his conditions.
Rudd appeared at Tauranga District Court this morning wearing an AC/DC jacket, where he reportedly swore under his breath at Crown Prosecutor Anna Pollett, according to the New Zealand Herald. Pollett was requesting a new condition for Rudd's home detention - which was that he undergo drug and alcohol testing whenever it was requested by police.
The newspaper reports that prostitutes were present at the drummer's house when he was arrested on Saturday night.
The judge warned Rudd that any further breach of his conditions may result in the department "[seeking] to cancel the sentence of home detention."
