Band residencies seem to be the thing now with US late-night shows.

Foo Fighters recently completed a week-long residency on David Letterman and  Metallica just announced a residency on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson - not Ryan Tubridy, although that'd be f*cking brilliant.

It appears that those lads from Glasnevin are getting in on the act and will be performing a week-long residency on Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

U2 will be playing snippets from their new album, Songs of Innocence, and giving the house-band The Roots (who we feel are 1,000 times better than U2) a nice little break.

The residency runs from November 17th to the 21st.
