If you're a fan of The Band - and specifically their late drummer Levon Helm - then you'll be interested in a gig taking place in Dublin next month.
The third annual 'A Tribute to Levon Helm' gig will run at Dublin's Sugar Club on Friday, April 17th.
A number of acts have been lined up to play songs from Helm's career - from his early days with The Hawks right through to his work with the band (including the seminal Last Waltz) and his solo material, to boot.
The Minutes, Gavin Glass, The Lost Brothers, Graham Hopkins (The Frames), Colm Quearney (ex-Lir), Left, Right & Centre (feat Ed Deane and Noel Bridgeman) will all play live on the night, as well as Last Waltz tribute act The Group.
A DJ set featuring some of Helm's, The Band's and associated acts' songs will continue the entertainment after the live entertainment has finished.
Tickets are €17.50 from thesugarclub.com and all proceeds from the night will go to the Irish Cancer Society. Helm passed away in 2012 at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer.
