Tim 'Timbaland' Mosely is probably the most successful producer in the world right now, seen by some as the real talent behind bestselling artists such as Missy Elliott and the late Aaliyah. The great man can hardly be blamed for wanting to make an album of his own- but, sad to relate, Indecent Proposal is a sprawling and unfocused mess that wastes some good psychedelic grooves with a dismal parade of truly uninspired rapping. His main man, MC Magoo, has a distinctive androgynous whine but nothing interesting to say, while there's a distinct air of b-list about most of the other collaborators here - Ludacris and FatMan Scoop are hardly household names. Mosely himself, meanwhile, sounds half-asleep at times, rapping with an air of boredom that inevitably transfers itself to the listener. On this evidence, Timbaland should stick to the day job.
