Rock stars and their parents; it's always interesting to see photos of the two together. Sometimes, the most outlandish musician will have grown up in the most straight-laced home.

Thanks to photographer John Olson, who worked for LIFE magazine in the 1970s, we can get a glimpse into some of the day's biggest stars and their family homes. 

Olson photographed everyone from Frank Zappa to The Jackson 5 and Elton John with their parents/grandparents in the family home, some of which you can see below.
