Former Today FM DJ Tony Fenton, who passed away in March, conducted an interview with U2 frontman Bono before he died.

As Fenton was undergoing treatment for cancer and Bono was recovering after his bike accident, the interview was conducted at Bono's home in Killiney, south Dublin.

The interview, which ended up being Fenton's last, was recorded four months ago and broadcast yesterday. It proved a touching affair, with both men reminiscing on where they grew up in Glasnevin and Bono thanking Fenton for standing by U2 over the years.

Despite speculation, there were no definite dates announced for U2's mooted Dublin arena shows later this year. Entertainment.ie has heard directly from the band's PR that Irish dates are not yet confirmed, but we'll let you know about them as soon as we do.
