He hasn't even been dead two weeks, but ugly arguments about BB King's will have already begun.
The blues legend's daughters are challenging his manager LaVerne Toney over what they deem an "unfair" will, and have even claimed that Toney and King's personal assistant Myron Johnson 'hastened' their father's death by not caring for him appropriately in his final days. They also claim that Toney prevented family members from seeing King before he died at home on May 14th. No family members were present.
In a sworn affadavit, Patti King and Karen Williams allegedly say "I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances" as well as "I believe my father was murdered."
Toney, who worked for BB King for 39 years and is named the executor of his estate in his will, did not comment on the accusations except to say "They’ve been making allegations all along. What’s new?"
An autopsy was reportedly performed on Sunday, although it could take up to 8 weeks for results.
King is due to be buried in his hometown of Indianola, Mississippi this coming Saturday.
