Just like an old married couple, the Finn brothers have their fights but always seem to end up back together again. Everyone Is Here is another classy collection from the veteran New Zealanders, with several moments that recall their glory days with Split Enz and Crowded House. Wistful and reflective, these are heavily autobiographical songs that deal with such mature themes as loss, regret and the perils of growing older. And while the tone may be a little too earnest for some, the Finns have a habit of coming up with a beautiful harmony or a devastatingly well-chosen lyric that gives the heartstrings an almighty tug. Far more accomplished than anything either Neil or Tim achieved in their solo careers, Everyone Is Here has a timeless quality that'll keep you coming back to it long after the current flavour of the month has faded into obscurity.
