A number of Irish bands are lining up to pay tribute to the late music journalist George Byrne, who passed away last month at the age of 57.

Something Happens, Pugwash, Paul Cleary of The Blades, Trouble Pilgrims, Dermot Lambert of Blink and special guests TBC will play 'Celebrating George', a memorial concert, at Whelan's on June 26th.

All proceeds will go to a local charity, and tickets are €20 and on sale from wavtickets.ie now.
