Simon Pegg has been out and about promoting his new film, Hector and the Search for Happiness (our Adrian Collins had a yap with him here) and spoke to the BBC about the possibility of working with the talent of the "Cornetto trilogy" director Edgar Wright and pal Nick Frost, again.
He spewed, "When we said the trilogy was over, it was because that group of films was over. They’re all kind of related with each other and deal with a specific idea. There’s a criteria to those films. The next thing we do won’t do that, it will just be something else."
He added, "It will happen. We made three films in 10 years and hopefully in the next decade we’ll make another three," Finally saying that the proposed new series had "a title and everything".
Pegg is currently attached to both Star Trek 3 and Mission Impossible 5, while Wright recently dropped out of the Ant-Man film with Paul Rudd. Frost has the TV movie, Sober Companion due this year.
