The Charlatans reportedly had a bit of an argy-bargy with pop star Ronan Keating recently, after he didn't take too kindly to the Britpop band's guitarist heckling him at a gig.
Keating was performing at a private industry event, reports The Mirror, when Charlatans guitarist Mark Collins shouted 'You're sh*t!' during his performance. By all accounts, the free booze that was flowing may have had a part in it.
A 'source' claimed that he shouted it several times and when Keating finished singing, he confronted Collins (or 'squared up to him', if you want to be dramatic about it.)
"He said it several times and it was all a bit embarrassing. Mark thought he was having a laugh but Ronan went and spoke to him," said the 'source'. "It looked like they were really angry. Luckily in the morning they could see the funny side of it."
Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, meanwhile, had no comment to make on the matter - although he seemed to confirm that the story was true via a Tweet:

Obviously there are no hard feelings, though - as good sport Keating has duly responded in kind, later referencing a Charlatans song title in his reply to Burgess:
