It seems that Guns N' Roses aren't the only big-name band reuniting at this year's Coachella festival.
Ice Cube, who is on the bill as a solo artist, has said that he intends to bring the remaining members of the hip-hop icons together during his set - or he's going to "try", at least.
He told The Talk: "“I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves … I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., West Side Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years."
It had previously been rumoured that NWA would reform around the time of the release of 'Straight Outta Compton', but it did not come to pass and Dr. Dre released a new solo album last year. However, NWA are also due to be inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in April, paving the way for a possible musical reunion.
Meanwhile, the executive producer of 'Straight Outta Compton' has called this year's Oscar nominations 'embarrassing' due to their lack of racial diversity. "WE HAVE TO DO BETTER. Period," Will Packer wrote on his Facebook page. "The reason the rest of the world looks at us like we have no clue is because in 2016 it's a complete embarrassment to say that the heights of cinematic achievement have only been reached by white people.”
