It's not even been a year since the 'Garth Brooks at Croke Park' cancellation debacle, but at least something positive is coming out of the whole experience.

According to Independent.ie, a new comedy stage show based on the fiasco, entitled 'Are You There, Garth? It's Me, Margaret', will run for two weeks at the Gaiety Theatre later this year. Before that, it will travel to Galway, Cork and Limerick.

It's written by columnist/playwright Fiona Looney and will star comedian and actress Deirdre O'Kane - who has most recently starred in Moone Boy and the film 'Noble' - as an obsessive country and western fan.

"I’m not a fan of Garth Brooks, I wouldn’t know his music - but Fiona is amazing at capturing a person like this," she said. "I love that she’s taken one person’s story in the midst of all that sheer madness and gone to the heart of what it really meant to somebody and her love of Brooks."
