After the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, the police and residents have come into fierce conflict that has grabbed headlines all over the world.
The scenes and images of violence and protest have been arresting, and people from every walk of life have been shocked that the tensions that have risen to the surface could have remained hidden for so long.
Some of the biggest hip-hop artists in the world have come together to release a song about what has happened there over the past few weeks, and raise awareness of the fact that this type of thing seems to be happening on a regular basis, with similar incidents occurring in the case of Trayvon Martin, as well as Sean Bell and others, who are mentioned in the song.
The Game spoke to Rolling Stone to explain the inspiration behind the song, saying: "I am a black man with kids of my own that I love more than anything, and I cannot fathom a horrific tragedy like Michael Brown's happening to them. This possibility has shaken me to my core. That is why this song must be made, and why it was so easy for so many of my friends to come together and unite against the injustice."
The song not only features The Game, but also 2 Chainz, Diddy, Swizz Beats, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and a whole host of others.
