It looks like One Direction's Liam Payne is following in his former bandmate Zayn Malik's footsteps by embarking on a solo career that's as far removed from the cheesy pop world as possible.

Payne has lent his vocals to a new track on Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J's new mixtape. It's called 'You', and while he has stressed that it is not his own track, it's nonetheless quite a different sound to what fans will be used to hearing.

What's more, he claimed that the pair used the 'one take scratch demo' before he even had a chance to do it properly.
