Not only did he pick up a Golden Globe for his role in The Revenant, but he also splashed the cash earlier that day when he bid $100,000 (€91,000) for Bono's guitar at a charity auction run by Sean Penn, for his annual J/P Haitian Relief Organization event.
Who would have thought that the actor was such a big U2 fan?
Perhaps he thought that he could strum his woes away in the event that he didn't win a Globe. Or maybe he's planning on branching out and following in the footsteps of other actors-turned-musicians and releasing his own album. You heard it here first.
