She recently performed a one-woman tribute to Frank Sinatra, and now Lady Gaga is set to do the same for David Bowie at this year's Grammys.
The New York Times reports that Gaga was already booked to perform at the February 15th show, but after Bowie's death discussions were opened on the possibility of her performing a tribute.
Now it's been confirmed that despite other artists wanting to take part in a tribute performance, it will be down to Lady Gaga to do so. Her performance will cover 'three to four songs' across seven minutes, says Grammys producer Ken Erlich.
He added that the piece 'is going to be a true homage to who David was, particularly musically, but not ignoring his influence on fashion and pop culture in a broader way.”
This follows on from the news that a star-studded line-up are planning a tribute to Bowie at the BRIT Awards later this month, too.
