Kate Bush has written a tribute to Prince that has been published on her website, calling him "mind-blowingly gifted".
Bush wrote a short but sincere note on her website, saying that "the world has lost someone truly magical".
It read:
I am so sad and shocked to hear the tragic news about Prince. He was the most incredibly talented artist. A man in complete control of his work from writer and musician to producer and director. He was such an inspiration. Playful and mind-blowingly gifted. He was the most inventive and extraordinary live act I've seen. The world has lost someone truly magical. Goodnight dear Prince."
Meanwhile, former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has also doffed his cap to the iconic musician, playing a mash-up of 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Purple Rain' at his gig at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday night.
