Anyone who's ever seen John Grant play live will be well aware of just what an engaging, powerful presence he is on stage.
The Colorado man has struck a particular chord with Irish music fans, and this Friday his amusing, heartbreaking music will be given an extra helping of poignancy when he performs with the RTE Concert Orchestra.
Grant is in Ireland this week to play gigs in Galway, Cork and Belfast but will stop off at The Late Late Show on Friday to say hello to Tubs and play an as-yet-unconfirmed song of his - presumably something from his most recent album, 'Grey Tickles, Black Pressure'.
Whatever he has lined up, it's sure to be worth staying in/tuning in for.
He also plays his biggest Irish headline show to date on July 10th at the Iveagh Gardens, and tickets for that gig are on sale now.
