Film composer Hans Zimmer will play his first-ever Irish concert in Dublin later this year, and it has just been announced that a very special guest is to join him.

Former Smiths guitarist/co-songwriter/legend Johnny Marr will appear with Zimmer on a selected number of dates, and that includes the 3Arena on May 26th.

Marr and Zimmer have worked together on several film scores, including Christopher Nolan's 'Inception', 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and most recently on 'Freeheld'.

It's believed that he will join Zimmer's band - which will be accompanied by a full orchestra at the gig.

Marr said: "“Playing with Hans is always great, all that great music, and the orchestra. On the stage it goes to another level."

Tickets for the gig are still on sale from usual outlets.
