It may not be as sunny as last weekend, but there's plenty going on around the country to get you off the sofa and out of the house over the next few days.

Below you'll find our nationwide gig guide, detailing the best gigs in all four corners of our fair isle.

Enjoy!

1. GOMEZ, Olympia Theatre - Friday

The Britpop band are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album 'Bring It On' – so as well as feeling old, you can wallow in nostalgia during songs like 'Whippin' Piccadilly'.

*

2. JOSH ROUSE, Whelan's – Friday

Not to be confused with that other guitar-wielding Josh of the Ritter clan, this Nebraska man will be bringing his folk/indiepop/alt-country catalogue to the intimate confines of Whelan's. Should be a good 'un.

*

3. ROBERT JOHN ARDIFF, Upstairs at Whelan's - Friday

Best known as frontman of Dublin band Come On Live Long, Ardiff released a very lovely solo album 'Between the Bed and Room' in recent months, and Upstairs at Whelan's is the perfect spot to hear those wee-hours songs played.

*

4. FANGCLUB, Kavanagh's, Portlaoise – Friday

In the mood for something raw, loud and grungey? Fangclub are just the ticket, so. The Dublin trio hit Portlaoise with their abrasive indie-rock tunes on Friday night.

*

5. SEUN KUTI & EGYPT 80, The Sugar Club – Friday & Saturday

The Nigerian musician and son of the legendary Fela Kuti now leads his father's band, Egypt 80 – you have two opportunities to catch them in Dublin this weekend.

*

6. JOHN BRAMWELL (I AM KLOOT), The Purty Kitchen – Saturday

An odd venue for a musician like Bramwell, perhaps, but worth the trek on the DART nonetheless. The I Am Kloot frontman will be playing a few solo tunes (and some Kloot ones too, no doubt) with support from special guests.

*

7. YO LA TENGO, Olympia Theatre – Saturday

Now in their 34th year, the New Jersey experimental rock trio are still going strong and released their last album 'There's a Riot Going On' in March. Expect to hear songs from that as well as their extensive back catalogue.

*

8. THE BOWIE EXPERIENCE – SSE Arena Belfast, Saturday

“An unforgettable journey of sound and vision through David Bowie's golden years from Space Oddity through to Let's Dance”? We're sold. By the sounds of it, this will be a celebration of the icon on a grand scale – what's not to like?

*

9. ROY ORBISON IN DREAMS, 3Arena – Sunday

And now for something completely different. You're either the sort of person freaked out by the idea of holograms of dead musicians, or you're intrigued by the concept. If you're the latter, this hologram concert of the legendary Roy Orbison may be worth a look. At least the songs will be good, anyway.

*

10. BRUNO MAJOR, The Workman's Club – Sunday

Not to be confused with Bruno Mars, this Londoner is headed to Dublin on Sunday and this is a great opportunity to see him in close confines, because he's being tipped for greatness in the near future. If soulful, contemporary r'n'b is your bag – as heard on his stunning debut 'A Song for Every Moon', you'd best get yourself along to the Workman's Club to see just how good he is in the flesh.
