Frank Ocean, the R&B star who scored major success with his debut album 'Channel ORANGE', will release his second record this summer.
Ocean posted a picture to his Tumblr page yesterday, showing two piles of magazines - one with the title 'Boys Don't Cry'. The accompanying message said “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions.” #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY".
It's believed the follow up to his 2012 album will indeed be called 'Boys Don't Cry', although that's unconfirmed. A spokesman for Ocean did confirm, however, that a new 'publication' and album are due in July, so one might draw the conclusion that there will be a magazine tie-in with the album.
Ocean has reportedly been working with the likes of Danger Mouse, Pharrell and Tyler, the Creator on the album.
The last new material he released was part of Converse's 'Three Artists. One Song' series; a collaboration with Diplo and Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash resulted in 'Hero', which you can hear below.
