Hozier fans have been impatiently waiting for new material for the past few years, but it seems that it's finally within reach.
The Wicklow man has given vague updates relating to the progress on album number two over the last while, but now it seems that there's a concrete plan in place to release the follow-up to 2014's massively successful self-titled debut this year.
Yesterday, he announced an extensive US and Canada tour throughout September and October that will "coincide with the releasing of new work", he said in a statement, adding: "The completion of the record is fast approaching and I’m eager to share it with everyone. Realizing the work in a live setting was such a joy for me last time round and I hope to see you on the road again soon.”
No word on any Irish dates as yet, but you can bet that he won't forget his home country - so watch this space.
