Guy Garvey, the amiable frontman of Manchester indie band Elbow, will release his solo album 'Courting the Squall' next month.
It's the first time that the singer has gone it alone, and the album is out on October 30th. The album was made with musicians from I Am Kloot, The Whip and more - a band that Garvey said "moved fast and drank a lot".
He'll be taking it out on the road with a UK and Irish tour in December that includes a date at Dublin's Olympia Theatre on December 7th.
Tickets are from €39.05 including booking fee, and on sale from usual outlets nationwide this Friday at 9am.
With Garvey in Ireland at that time of year, may we also suggest that he's a shoo-in to play this year's Other Voices? Completely speculative, of course...
