Ed Sheeran has tweeted about his new chest tattoo, defending it from people who said it's 'weird'.
The singer unveiled his newest piece of ink last week - a large lion covering his upper chest, which he said was to commemorate his three sold-out gigs at Wembley last month.
Although it's one of many on his body, this one's caused a bit of a stir, with many saying that he was following in MMA fighter Conor McGregor's footsteps by getting a large chest piece of an animal.
He had an exchange with Keane singer Tom Chaplin the other day, although perhaps tagging Sheeran wasn't the best idea:
Please tell me this is a prank. Cos if it isn't, @edsheeran has a really bad picture of a lion on his chest FOREVER. https://t.co/toczm2pFnt

@tomchaplin i like it and that's the only opinion that matters

@edsheeran sorry Ed - I assumed someone was larking about as you can't see your face in the photo! And you don't need my jaded old opinion!

@tomchaplin no worries. But I do honestly love it, and it's only half finished

Sheeran later tweeted:
All this kerfuffle over a tattoo. If it was black and white saying a clever phrase in a language I can't speak no one would've said anything

It's not the first weird tattoo I've got and it won't be the last, but I like all of them. I'm also eating a bowl of pasta now so byeziez x
