Country music legend Dolly Parton has sustained minor injuries after a car crash in Nashville earlier today, just hours after announcing details of three Irish dates next year.
The singer was admitted to hospital but has since been discharged and sent home to recover, according to reports on Billboard. A statement released by her spokesperson said that she is "all good, just a little tired and sore."
Police reports suggest that Parton was a passenger in a SUV which was hit by another vehicle and it's not believed that the accident will impact her touring plans for next summer where she'll play three shows in Ireland, the first in Belfast's Odyssey Arena on 10th June followed by a date in The O2 in Dublin the following night before concluding her tour in The Marquee in Cork on 12th June.
Tickets for all the shows go on sale on Friday 1st November at 9am.
