A documentary spanning the entire 20 year long career of Coldplay is coming to Amazon Prime Video. The doc is named after the band’s last album, ‘A Head Full of Dreams’, which dropped in 2015.

The ‘in-depth and intimate’ film was directed by Mat Whitecross (previously the helmer of ‘Oasis: Supersonic’, an acclaimed doc which charted the rise and fall of British pop band Oasis), and features archival footage plus behind-the-scenes clips and live performances.

It shows how the band – comprised of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Guy Berryman – grew from performing some two decades ago in the pubs of London to selling over 75 million albums, selling out stadiums worldwide, and becoming a staple of pop and radio stations with such iconic hits as ‘Yellow,’ ‘Clocks’ and ‘The Scientist.’

Whitecross met the four members of the band in college in London before they'd formed the group and has directed numerous Coldplay-related projects or music videos, including the videos for ‘Paradise,’ ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ and ‘Adventure of a Lifetime,’ since. Whitecross has been filming the band since their very first rehearsal in a cramped student bedroom, following their musical and personal growth, so, needless to say, die-hard Coldplay fans will not want to miss this.

‘A Head Full of Dreams’ will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime starting November 16, with a one-night-only showing in select theatres around the world (no word on an Irish showing yet) on November 14.

The band will also premiere three live songs exclusively on Amazon Music. The versions of ‘Stayin' Alive’ (Live at Glastonbury, featuring Bee Gees singer Barry Gibb), ‘Us Against the World’ (Live in Leipzig) and ‘Don't Panic’ (Live in Paris) will be available for streaming beginning October 26th.
