She has publicly - and successfully - battled her addiction problems in the past, but pop star Demi Lovato's latest song suggests that she has fallen off the wagon.
'Sober' documents the 25-year-old's struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, although it's unclear whether she is referring to her current situation, or a past incident.
She shared the song on social media yesterday with the simple caption 'My truth', and with lyrics like "‘Momma I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore / And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor / To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.’
Later in the song, she refers to her wish to be a role model, but admits that she's "only human".
