If you're an LCD Soundsystem fan who still hasn't managed to get over that band's demise, this news might well cheer you up.
James Murphy, frontman of the New York-based band, will feature on David Bowie's forthcoming new album 'Blackstar', which is out in January.
The album's producer and long-time associate of Bowie, Tony Visconti, revealed details about its creation and said that inspiration for the record came from an unlikely source - most notably from young rapper Kendrick Lamar.
He told Rolling Stone: "We wound up with nothing like that, but we loved the fact Kendrick was so open-minded and he didn’t do a straight-up hip-hop record. He threw everything on there, and that’s exactly what we wanted to do. The goal, in many, many ways, was to avoid rock’n’roll."
Murphy, meanwhile, plays percussion on two tracks and was originally supposed to be involved in a production capacity but "had his own projects to go off to.”
Some lyrics on the album reportedly reference ISIS and words from 'A Clockwork Orange'.
