Set your faces to nostalgic, B*witched have been added to this year's Electric Picnic lineup.
The Irish nineties girl group are set to headline Electric Ireland's Throwback Stage at the festival where the likes of 5ive, Ace of Base, Bonnie Tyler, 2 Unlimited, The Vengaboys and Bananarama have previously graced the stage.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of B*witched's number one single 'C'est La Vie' which to this day makes an entire generation break into Irish dancing when it's played - it's a thing of wonder really.
They were no one-hit wonder though, B*witched stormed the charts in the late 90s at home and abroad - becoming one of Ireland’s biggest exports. They released eight singles, all of which made the UK and Ireland Top 20. Their first four singles, 'C'est la Vie', 'Rollercoaster', 'To You I Belong' and 'Blame It on the Weatherman', all reached number one in the UK Singles Chart and earned them over three million albums sold worldwide.
The girls - Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou, and Sinéad O'Carroll - parted ways in 2002 but came back together as part of the ITV documentary 'The Big Reunion' in 2012.
Speaking of the announcement, B*witched said: "We are so excited to headline Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic. It’s always brilliant to come back to Ireland and play to a home crowd. We are really looking forward to breaking out the double denim and having the absolute craic. Rain or shine, it’s going to be an amazing day, and there’s more great acts to be announced. ‘C’est La Vie’ is like our baby so we’d love see it being brought back."
You heard them, double-denim, get on it.
