According to Dan Wootton in The Sun, the band will spend the next year or so working on "solo projects."

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan apparently met in London last week to discuss touring their fifth album but decided that a hiatus was in order.

 

 

 

There had been rumours for some time that the end was nigh, and although the line of 'hiatus' is being towed, the music industry is fickle - especially for a boy band. A year away from the spotlight won't be easy to bounce back from. 

For every Take Take there's a Blue, or East 17 who struggle to replicate their success. That said, these boys are absolutely minted and can probably afford to chill in a gold tinted hammock for the rest of their days
