If you've seen the recently-released documentary about Amy Winehouse, 'Amy', and thought it was a well-made - and even better, if you're an Oasis fan - you'll be happy to know that a similar film about the Brothers Gallagher is in the works.
Filmmaker Asif Kapadia, who directed the highly-successful 'Amy', is teaming up with production company that has been given 'unprecedented access' to unseen footage, as well as access with the band. The documentary will chart the band's history from their formation in 1991 to their acrimonious split in 2009.
Kapadia will act as executive director, reports NME, while the film will be directed by Mat Whitecross - a man who has form in music-related films, as he directed 2012's 'Spike Island', which was a fictional story loosely based around the Stone Roses' famous gigs.
The documentary will be launched this time next year at industry event AFM, so we can perhaps hope to see it at some point in 2017.
Will they have reformed by that point? Only time will tell...
