A 1980s American girl band have accused Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars of plagiarising one of their songs for their 2014 mega-hit 'Uptown Funk'.
The Sequence claim that their 1979 song 'Funk You Up' was used as the basis of the song, and they were never duly credited. Their lawyer says that the hooks of both songs are the same, amongst other similarities.
TMZ report that there hasn't been a lawsuit filed as yet, but there are 'rumblings' of discontent.
With Ronson & Mars just having bagged the Grammy for 'Record of the Year', no doubt they will want to keep things civil, lest it descend into the mess that 'Blurred Lines' became with Marvin Gaye's estate.
