Forbidden Fruit has become the traditional kicking-off point for Summer Festival Season, and if this year's mouthwatering (ahem, pun intended) line-up is any indication, 2018 is shaping up to be a hell of a summer for music fans.
In fact, given the abundance of talent on this weekend's line-up, the problem is knowing where to start – so we've put together a list of the 5 acts you really shouldn't miss at this year's Forbidden Fruit.
1. JUSTICE (Saturday)
Their last album was 2016's 'Woman', but don't let that put you off – the French electro duo are a force to be reckoned with live. Expect lots of energetic dance hits like 'D.A.N.C.E.', 'Randy', 'Audio Video Disco' and more. And bring your dancing shoes.

2. GRIZZLY BEAR (Monday)
With an absolutely stellar fifth album under their belts ('Painted Ruins') and a pitch-perfect live show to boot, Grizzly Bear never disappoint. The Brooklyn quartet will be the perfect warm-up for headliners The War on Drugs on Monday.
*
3. MIKE D (Saturday)
An actual Beastie Boy in the flesh? Why wouldn't you want to catch him? The New Yorker is bringing his eclectic DJ set to Forbidden Fruit on Saturday and we're seriously looking forward to seeing what he has in store. FYI, also DJing on Saturday is the one and only Idris Elba – so mark both on your schedule.

4. FOUR TET (Live) (Sunday)
One of the most quietly pioneering musicians on the British electronic scene over the years, Kieran Hebden's fusion of electro, rock, jazz and many other genres has often been revelatory. If his upbeat ninth album 'New Energy' (released last year) is anything to go by, the Forbidden Fruit audience is in for something special.

5. SPOON (Monday)
Make it your business to get down to the festival site in time to see these guys on Monday. A band that rarely plays Ireland and remain one of the most underrated on the art-rock/indie scene, Spoon's output over the years has been consistently brilliant, seriously catchy and irresistibly funky. They could well be the surprise hit of your weekend.
