'Waiting for God' is a sitcom that follows the antics of residents at the Bayview Retirement Village. It primarily centres on the relationship between retired photojournalist Diana Trent (Stephanie Cole) and former accountant Tom Ballard (Graham Crowden). The supporting cast includes the care home's penny-pinching manager Harvey Baines (Daniel Hill) and his assistant Jane (Janine Duvitski). It ran for five series on BBC One between 1990 and 1994.
