"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" is a reality show following sisters Caroline and Dina Manzo, their sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, friend Teresa Giudice and mother-of-two Danielle Staub. While family remains a priority for these ladies, they live lavish lifestyles and their shopping, decorating, dating and even fighting are always over-the-top. In the first episode of season one, Caroline prepares her sons for the real world, Theresa decides her eight-year-old is destined for stardom, Dina and Jacqueline get together for a girls' night out in Manhattan, and Danielle dates a man she met online. During the course of season one, Caroline's daughter thinks she is ready for beauty school, Danielle invites all the ladies over for a spa party, Danielle and Teresa's husband are involved in a nasty confrontation, Teresa struggles with the idea of undergoing plastic surgery, and shocking secrets come out at Teresa's end-of-year party. Season one premiered on Channel 4 in 2009. Season two originally aired a year later.
