Richard Hammond's Engineering Connections
"Richard Hammond's Engineering Connections" finds the "Top Gear" presenter investigating how major feats of engineering were achieved through technological innovation. In the opening episode, he reveals how a 19th-century rocket, a bicycle pump and an ancient Mongol bow helped in the design of the double-decker Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger airliner. The first of four episodes premiered on National Geographic in 2008 and then on BBC Two in 2009.
